Ray Winstone spotted on set?
July 3rd, 2007, posted by FofR | Digg This

The Movie Score Card said that today they would have another piece of Indy goodness, they were not wrong, this time Ray Winstone has SUPPOSEDLY been spotted and photographed - the Jury is still out on whether this is him or not, for now our source says it is. The full shots and article may reveal details about his character’s role and so are considered a spoiler. TMS are also running another “spoilers” article here about fictitious locations.

WTNH also has an interview with the location manager and a report about New Haven returning to the 21st century. Be warned this contains spoilers.

Enjoy July 4th.

Indiana Scene Spoiler
July 3rd, 2007, posted by FofR | Digg This

Don’t you just hate it when a huge spoiler filled piece of the puzzle forces itself upon you in the title of an article? IGN are running quite a piece over in their movies section - from reading the article it all seems to be rumored and it could just be made up to get themselves some attention, who knows. Here’s what they had to say, HIDDEN for all those folk wishing to not know too much:

There are also new hints about a possible wedding scene that may appear in the film. Could Indy be tying the knot after all of these years? We don’t know, but filming for the rumored on-screen nuptials is taking place outside the First Congregational Church. A New Haven Public Works employee told the Register, “It’s my understanding there is supposed to be some kind of wedding inside the church.” The actual wedding scene, whoever it includes, will reportedly be shot in Hollywood.

They continue in their article discussing the filming in New Haven and some minor troubles in production, but nothing we haven’t heard already.

Shia Interview
July 3rd, 2007, posted by FofR | Digg This

Shia LaBeouf had a recent appearance on the Letterman show to promote the Transformers movie, his role in Indiana Jones 4 and his idolisation of Harrison Ford as Indy does come up as well as some background information about Shia. He starts off a bit wooden but you’ll soon warm to him, what with the chicken tricks.

“It’s not the years, honey, it’s the mileage”

Well, the Indiana Jones 4 movie news just doesn’t stop flowing at the moment does it? Guess what, we’ve got more. We’ll split this post into two, the first half will be spoiler free and the second shall come after the break and be packed to the brim with spoilerific action scene delights.

Shia in Vanity FairTo begin with, Shia LaBeouf dons the cover of Vanity Fair, what with one popular Transformers movie being released. As to be expected, there are some choice quotes about the Indiana Jones film.

People say, ‘What are you doing for your 21st birthday, Shia?,’ and I’m like, ‘I’m making an Indiana Jones movie.’ What’s better than that?

[...] “When he mentioned Indiana Jones, I was about to have a heart attack. I couldn’t breathe. And then he told me not to tell anyone. It’s like winning the Super Bowl but you can’t tell anyone you won the Super Bowl for three months!”

[...] Of his time on the set with Spielberg, LaBeouf says, “I remember saying, ‘I’m the least likely person to be here,’ and Steven said, ‘You and me both. I never wanted to make another one of these. We ended the series perfectly.’ That scares me, as a fan and as the actor who’s doing it. But Steven said he wouldn’t have made this movie if the script wasn’t right.”

[...] “It’s a lot of pressure, but that’s the way I want it, man. I prayed for this pressure. This is willed.”

And this is why we love Steven Spielberg (no spoilers in this video I promise):

Next Filming Location Unveiled?
July 2nd, 2007, posted by FofR | Digg This

Glen Eigo has sent us a report, this may be considered a spoiler so the text has been hidden, to reveal the details simply highlight the text:

I was at the Essex Steam Train in Connecticut today with my wife and son. There were signs going up for Bedford Train Station and Western Union.

Essex Steam Train is a tourist attraction with an old steam engine that generally brings tourists and sightseers up and down the Connecticut River Valley. The train travels up to Deep River Connecticut to let passengers off to ride the Beck Thatcher River boat up the Connecticut River.

There were Genre Productions crew members all over the site checking things, hanging signs, and painting the train station. There was also a company supplying tents and some signs directing crew members where to park.

Anyone who wants to see the production being set up should probably travel over there today or tomorrow morning. The layout of the area would make it difficult for the crew to completely seal off the area as there are multiple ways to approach the facility.

And to continue our theme of posting ridiculous amounts of 1950’s New Haven imagery, here are some excellent new links.

Firstly, The Movie Scorecard has an excellent picture of the motorbike being used during filming and they claim to have some big news coming soon, we’ll have to wait and see!
